Peter & Alice von Loesecke Scholarship Foundation - The MBA Tour Scholarship

The MBA Tour has contributed to a scholarship fund to assist schools in enrolling eligible students who would not otherwise have the means to attend graduate business school. If you have attended events where the Nanyang Business School has participated from July 2008 to March 31st, 2009, you are eligible to be nominated by Nanyang Business School. The scholarship foundation will award two 20,000 USD scholarships no later than June 1, 2009.

The ideal candidate is one who is leaving a family business to go to business school or who is currently an entrepreneur applying to business school and...

  1. Could not afford to return to a family business or an entrepreneurial business without financial assistance or
  2. Is currently working in a developed country and wants to return home after his or her education to work in a family business or start a business and will need financial assistance to do so or
  3. Is a foreign national living and working in a developing economy and wants to start a business in that country after getting their MBA

In the nomination process, students who have attended an MBA Tour event at which the school participated will inform one business school that they want to be nominated by that school. Alternatively a school may approach a student they recruited at an MBA Tour event and accepted and propose their nomination. If the student accepts, they are doing so with the understanding that the scholarship is awarded to attend only the nominating school.

Each school is allowed to nominate one student who has already been accepted for admission and demonstrates the criteria above. Schools must nominate students by April 15, 2009. After a school has nominated a candidate, the scholarship foundation will send the nominee an application. The nominee must then complete the application. A school may nominate only one candidate and each candidate may receive one school nomination. Should a student ultimately enroll in another school than the nominating school, then the student is not eligible for the scholarship.

Interested applicants who fit the eligibility criteria, please email mba.admissions@ntu.edu.sg to indicate their wish to be nominated.
